Her show includes standards from the jazz era that
are given new life as Ellie swings them with her own interpretation. Kiley and Ellie formed their duo, "Swingin' with Ellie Shaw" in 2009. They are seasoned performers with talent and personality. Their set list has evolved to over 175 tunes from the American Songbook. Jazz music is ever evolving, and each performance is a unique conversation with the audience.
Ellie’s vintage vocals and scat have been
influenced by Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and
countless other great voices from the era.
Taking her cue from instrumentalists like Benny Goodman, Louis Armstrong
and Lester Young, she brings jazz violin to a new height.
Her soulful improvisation make each live performance
unforgettable. Rounding out their sound is the solid rhythm guitar provided by Kiley Shaw. This duo has performed over 250 shows to the enjoyment of fans everywhere.
